I’ve always been a fine cook. I enjoyed it, I wouldn’t say I looked forward to it or found it “fun”, until I did. These products leveled up my cooking and made it feel like a creative practice versus just another daily chore. Now, these products aren’t going to get you a Michelin star, and for reference, this is how I leveled up my young adult hodgepodge into a slightly more elevated collection.
Microplane- Master Series Wood Handle Stainless Steel Zester Grater

Besides the obvious stunning visual appeal of this zester, the grip is comfortable and it is easy to get a perfect zest or grate every single time. I am excited to reach for this and have discovered many new (to me) uses that always achieve a great result.
Misen Chef Knife

This is the first Chef Knife I have ever purchased. For the price point of less than $100 it has really wowed me. It’s balanced and sharp. There are few days I go without using this knife front thing or another. With its versatility and superior blade angle, I have difficulty finding many jobs the Misen Chef Knife can’t do. I just purchased the pairing knife but have not yet completed my testing.
Made In Cookware 5 Quart Stainless Steel Saucier Pan

I could never tell if the uneven cook was due to my cooktop or my pans. Since using this pan, I now know it was definitely my $15.99 random pan to blame. I feel like a real chef when using this saucier pan. It heats up quickly, the heat is even, and it retains heat very well. Made In Cookware is definitely an investment, but definitely worth it.
